I am amazed each day by the simple sayings that I have grown up with that I never imagined had their origin in the Bible! Simple minded !! That's exactly what I am!...I mean the Bible has been around for centuries and why wouldn't time proven knowledge have come from it, life itself revolves around His Holy Word!!!
So as I keep reading my Bible and finding example after example of phrases I use or have heard growing up, I am comforted in knowing that He truly did know me and keep me safe long before I chose to know Him through the saving Grace that He offered me ...that I have now accepted.
Sooner or later ( 2 Peter 3)....and so many other words from Him ring through my mind and soul and echo the truth. He Lives and He desires us ALL to find Him and the comfort and love that He alone can give, that He did give.
The Lord Jesus Christ came for each one of us...and He WILL come again...sooner or later...may we all know Him when He arrives at His second Advent!!

Hi Jen!
I just read your post on Sheila's and am so thrilled about your son. I do indeed know how it feels as my 10 year old accepted Jesus this summer. It's maybe better than when you came to the Lord, as you played a part in getting him there! Now it's just, nurture and water that seed, as I know you will. Hallelujah!
I have thought about you and sure do miss Child's spot. PLease drop in at SHeila's and visit as you can.
Praising God for your son,
Chris
Dearest Jen,
I am thinking of you and your family this Christmas season....whatever the reason we are now not at Joels or Childs, is ok....I left you a message at Sheilas...ok?
much love to you and yours
Jen,
I'm so glad your blog is back! I'd almost given up and stopped checking.
Like you, I'm a very simple-minded person! I didn't have a Christian upbringing, but my view of the Bible, particularly the Old Testament, was that it couldn't possibly be relevant because it was so old and we lived life so differently than people thousands of years ago. But after I became a Christian, I realized that it was relevant because human nature never changes. No matter how much technology we have or fancy clothes or fancy cars or material goods, our sin nature is the same as it was in Adam.
You've been on my mind. I'm imagining you with your family opening presents at Christmas and enjoying a delicious home-made meal. I'm sure the joy of the Lord was in your midst.
I hope that 2008 is a great year for you and your family and that God continues to use you to reveal Himself to others.

Hi Jen,
I have missed you! What's up Girl? Why the absence? Are you still keeping up at Joel's? Try the new site, it does seem safer! How's the Dooming & Glooming doing? I am still riddiculed by my spouse as she does not want to consider what is happening around us. My 2 girls aged 10 and 7 ask questions and I answer truthfully, much to my wifes horror. How are your kids doing? My 10 year old asked me "who created God and why", I am still working on an answer. Please give some input if you have!
Hope you and yours had a lovely and blessed Christmas and I pray you will have a fantastic 2008.
Have a Christ centered day.

Mommyjen,
So GOOD to see you back posting on Joel's blog! It was such a neat surprise to see your comments this morning! Please, when you can come back and post, okay?
Since morning, I've had my hair colored and cut, worked out at Curves, and grocery shopped :) But, I don't work this evening, so that's a bit of a plus :) Not a lot of news from these parts. But how about you, and your family? I did see where your son asked Jesus into his heart. Praise the Lord! Keep praying and believing, and it won't be long until all your household will be saved, and serve God :) Faith IS the victory, that overcomes the world, amen?
I've shut down my comment section on my blog. But I'll check back, and if you have time, just leave a comment that you left a note for me, on your blog, okay? (at Joels)
Thanks for taking the time to post at Joel's today. Because you made my day, BIGTIME :)
Love you, and God's richest blessings to you, and yours, too!
hey Jen,
I was thinking about you and wondering how all is going w/you and your family....I don't post at Joels, are you still posting there? I haven't heard the other girls say that they've 'seen' you there. I'm sure you are as busy as the energizer bunny w/all kinds of things this winter. I bet you are eagerly awaiting spring so you and the kids can get outside.
Well, I just thought I'd drop you a line.....let us know how you are sister, ok?....I've been contemplating doing the walk again this year with my two sisters.....my feet are doing much better. Anyways....much love to you.
Sue
Jen,
It was so happy to hear from Sheila that you had posted on her blogspot.
You sound just great as usual. I am so happy about what is happening with your family. I know that none of us have stopped praying for your family.
I am so glad also to hear that you have found a great congregation to worship and grow with.
Things are wonderful for me, I am doing just great. But, I am eagerly waiting to hear that shout, "Come up here."
Keep on keeping on,
Jen,
How's my girl?
I was chatting with Stacy and Sue (Forgiven Daughter), and they mentioned that you had posted on Joel's blog today.
Sue said that you appeared happy and very busy.
And Stacy mentioned that your husband had given your children a Dungeon and Dragons game. I almost fell off my chair. Stacy said someone told you to put liverwurst on the game and leave it out for your dog if you had one.
So, you know Gramma, I can't leave you out there with no help.
This is a very serious problem. Your children just cannot be exposed to such a demonic thing. You should pray for guidance, and for the Holy Spirit to give you the right words, then confront your husband and tell him that you can not allow such a thing.
You are to submit to your husband, except where he tries to prevent you from obeying the LORD. Then, you have to stand against him.
I'm sure you know how demonic that game is, and how it gives Satan permission to enter your household and affect your children. I have heard so many horror stories from parents who had no idea how deadly that game is.
Please don't put this off. Pray and confront and then be strong and toss it in the garbage, destroyed first, if possible.
I'm praying for you and I will get as many others to pray also.
I love you sweetie. Be strong!
Have a listen to a sermon from Lon Solomon at mcleanbible.org
It is entitled "Implanting God's word into children" and it is dated January 15th, 2006. Along with the prayer warriors that are out here, everythinig will be just fine.
God Bless.
Jen,
I have been thinking about you.
I pray that you are having a wonderful day in the LORD, especially since it is Palm Sunday.
Wanted you to know that you and your household are being bathed in prayer.
Love you a whole bunch.
Keep on keeping on.
Jen,
There has been a new blog set up, and it's at:
http://waysoftheholyspiritblogspot.com
You are more than welcome to come and participate.
Love,
Marge
Hey Jen....
Just wondering how you've been sister...how's the hubby...made any progress? Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know I'm thinking of you and praying for all of you. Are you and the fam making it out to this year's Awakening Fest? I know none of our crowd can make it but it would be cool to know maybe you are going. Keep in touch.
Jen,
Got your message. I did share your message with the ladies....I'm sure prayers are going up for you and your family.
I look forward to hearing from you when you are able to look at those lessons. Miss Child will make sure that I deliver the needed one's to you when you are ready!
Keep in touch, ok?
JEN,
Thinking and praying for you. Your name just suddenly came up and I found an old link in one of my emails.
We will all come through all of the stuff that is hurled at us and it will glorify our heavenly Father.
Shalom,
